"Our Vantage Point"
November 9, 2011
In 2011 and beyond, connection is changing our view of the world. From face-to-face conversations to texting to the one-way exchange of information between the Internet and our brains, various pipelines of connection constantly feed us information that changes how we find contentment, happiness, fulfillment--even pleasure. Why? Because connection has dramatically changed our vantage point for viewing the world. From accessing a close-up and highly personal view of different cultures, foods, life philosophies, and religions to the second-by-second thoughts and actions of our friends, neighbors, relatives, even famous strangers, the expanse of our new 21st century view is changing how we move in our daily lives because it is changing our perceptions of all that exists in the world.

Right you are! I have a question, do you think the changes that technology has done in our daily lives is worth it?
I don't necessarily view these changes as a good thing or a bad thing in terms of worth or value. Instead I view it is simply as part of the cultural evolution of society that technology has set in motion. One thing I can say it has indeed generated relative to changing our vantage point is the need to see more and see it now...in fact, it's a 21st century addiction. Culture crack is the term I use to describe it when I speak!
I read G Quotient and really liked it. What you say in this post is right. I can see more today than I could a year ago and less than what I will see next year or 2013.
